We are looking for an experienced Big Data Hadoop Engineer to design, develop, and support data platforms and analytics solutions. You will build pipelines, manage large-scale data systems, and work with technologies like Hadoop, Spark, SQL, and NoSQL databases. Strong programming skills and experience with big data tools are required.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide vision, gather requirements, and translate client user requirements into technical
• architecture
• Develop, deploy, and provide support for Big Data environment
• Provide data retrieval methods on SQL, NoSQL, HBase, and Cassandra
• Design and implement an integrated Big Data platform and analytics solution
• Design and implement data collectors to collect and transport data to the Big Data Platform.
• Implement monitoring solution(s) for the Big Data platform to monitor health on the
• infrastructure
• Will create and index Solr collections in Solr Cloud
• Will write code using Java, Bash, Python, and provide production support in resolving processes
• Build data pipelines using Hadoop components, Sqoop, Hive, Solr, MR Impala, Spark, and SQL
• Will manage and support the data warehouse and Business Intelligence systems
• Will script graph databases for Neo4J, Tiger Graph, and Orient DB
• Write scripts and schedule/execute jobs in Unix/Linux

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Related2 years’ experience in Accounting. Foreign equivalent degree accepted
• 5 years’ experience in Software Development
• Developer for Apache Hadoop Certification required
• Telecommuting Permitted
